Es divertido ver cómo Apple está tan desesperado por las ventas de tabletas Nexus7 dominando por completo las ventas de Navidad frente a la iPad, que desesperadamente tratan de “filtrar” información acerca de un mini-iPad. Es muy triste para Apple. Deben estar realmente asustados.- Nada se produce en Brasil. Ensamblado tal vez. (Como también sucede en Argentina) Sólo lo suficiente como para evitar el pago de impuestos en Brasil ( igual que aqui ) - Apple está obligado a hacer su mini iPad en la proporción 4/3, de lo contrario ninguna de las aplicaciones de iOS van a funcionar en él. Así 1024x768 en 7,85 “significa que el mini iPad no cabe en los bolsillos de la chaqueta normal. Por lo tanto, será tan inútil como el iPad de tamaño completo. Tienes que llevar una bolsa para poder llevartelo al aire libre lo que significa o te hace pensar si no te conviene llevar una laptop o computador portátil en tu bolso si deseas ser realmente productivo.

7.85-Inch iPad to Ramp Up Production in September at Foxconn Brazil
Bits of information about the rumored 7.85 “iPad Mini” continue to leak out. Japanese blog Macotakara now claims that the smaller iPad will be produced in Brazil and will ramp up production starting in September.
According to Chinese reliable source, the tablet called iPad mini will be produced in Brazil, however production test to collect data for new cutting machine is already done in China. Source said that, production phase of this tablet will be started since September, and this tablet should be shipped until holiday season, but announcement will not be so soon.

It’s funny to see how Apple is so desperate about the Nexus7 completely dominating tablet sales vs the iPad by Christmas that they desperately try to “leak” information about an iPad mini. It’s really sad for Apple. They must be genuinely scared.- Nothing gets produced in Brazil. Assembled maybe. Only enough to avoid paying taxes in Brazil.- Apple is forced to make their iPad mini in the 4/3 ratio, otherwise none of the iOS apps are going to work on it. Thus 1024x768 on 7.85” means the iPad mini does not fit in normal jacket pockets. Thus making it about as useless as the full sized iPad. You have to carry a bag to carry it with you outdoors which means you may as well carry a laptop in your bag if you want to be productive.
